Mystery writing
The Linked Story
Have you ever been stuck somewhere with only a couple things that you needed for an investigation? Well I have. And you know what, it's creepy. So I was with my friends who worked with me to uncover mysteries. We were on a rowboat and I was paddling at the front. We had a break in the middle of the lake that we had to cross to get to the place the mystery was reported. We had to look for a key that opens a hidden door in the house and leads to a bridge.
“After crossing the bridge, you will see a wolf.” I heard on the small phone we carried with us. It was my boss. I turned around to see that my friends weren't there. All that was left behind was the phone, and the equipment. Then I saw a hand quickly pop up and immediately sink again. I was scared but I had to carry on, otherwise I would probably get fired. Then I reached the island.
I could immediately tell it was an uninhabited house, as it was so old, and the wood was undesirably rotten. Then, out of interest, I looked in the mail box and saw a bright red letter. I felt around the outside of the letter, running my fingers across to find the familiar shape of a key. I opened the letter, being careful not to make fingerprints, or tear the letter inside. It was a clue to finding evidence. I skimmed the letter and found some highlighted points. The points were,” door, go ,quickly, to, There, is, a, statue, the, room,Open, inside, door, door, the, five”.
I tried mixing the words to make sentences and finally found this. “ Go quickly to door five, there is a statue. Open the door inside the room.” I went inside, opened door five, uncovered the statue to know where I was and opened the door inside the room. then , I saw a bridge, that revealed a big and menacing wolf. I fought him and finally found something interesting.
Another key. This puzzled me. I picked it up. It was an interesting shape. I looked back at the wolf, and saw a key hole in the collar. I took the key, opened the locker with shaking hands and inside was a book. It read “ You have solved the clues, now I must give you the answer. The answer is,. The book had ripped. I couldn’t read the rest. I knew I couldn’t go back, as the wolf was starting to come to. I was dead. I was surprised the wolf had picked me up, and I was being carried and not harmed. I woke up and was home. I realised it was all a dream.
Excellent level four writing. Careful attention to punctuation, including connecting your paragraphs. I would have liked to have known more about your fight with the wolf.
